Yeah, yeah, Sasha Grey is shooting for Steven Soderbergh and Jenna was in
Zombie Strippers and when Gerard Damiano died everybody covered it — but
this is the
real mainstreaming of porn: product placements.
As part of an ongoing cross-promotion between the companies, Pink Visual announced that it released an exclusive new production featuring the Fleshlight male sex toy in a starring role.
If you're not familiar with the Fleshlight, click here and check it out. We'll be right here when you get back.
In an original twist, the Fleshlight appears in a girl/girl scene, which can be seen online at HerFirstLesbianSex.com.
“HerFirstLesbianSex is one of our most popular lines, if not our most popular line,” said Kim Kysar, Brand and Product Manager for Pink Visual. “From an exposure standpoint, it made sense to feature the Fleshlight there, and doing so provided us an opportunity to weave the toy into the storyline in a more organic fashion.”
Sounds like an MGM functionary saying it was important that James Bond be carrying a Sony Ericsson phone, doesn't it?
The scene features Jana Jordan and Madelyn Marie as friends who go rooting through the drawers of Jana’s new boyfriend in search of incriminating evidence. After finding the Fleshlight, the girls spend some time inspecting the device, testing it for tightness with their fingers and speculating about its purpose before turning their attention to each other. The scene concludes with the girls masturbating side by side while exchanging dirty talk about what it must be like when Jada’s boyfriend fucks the Fleshlight.
Okay, maybe not exactly like an MGM functionary.
“Jana and Madelyn were both awesome in their speaking roles and even better once the sex started,” Kyser — the Pink Visual functionary — said. “I think they genuinely enjoyed playing with the Fleshlight, even if they can’t use it as intended, and they really got into the spirit of fun we wanted to convey in the scene.”
Kysar said that the scene will also be featured on a future Pink Visual DVD release.
Last month, Pink Visual’s sister brand Male Spectrum announced the release of a scene on HisFirstGaySex.com that featured — wait for it — the Fleshjack, the version of the Fleshlight made specifically for gay men.
The mainstreaming of porn goes both ways. Here is a mainstream technique being embraced by porn.
