LOS ANGELES — Adult star Alana Evans drives a car right out of a
Batman movie, and her ride might start appearing in more movies soon.
Pop singer Avril Lavigne chose Evans' 2006 Mustang GT convertible to appear in her latest music video for its low-slung muscle car appeal, 20-inch wheels, and hot-pink -- excuse me, "blush" -- paint job. It looks like the lead car in the Joker's motorcade and packs enough punch (425 horsepower) to compete with a Corvette.
"It's my dream car," Evans told XFANZ. "I was about to turn 30, and I went through kind of a mid-life crisis. I had been telling people for a long time that I wanted a purple Mustang, so I got one."
L.A.-based automotive geeks Galpin Auto Sports, featured on the MTV show Pimp My Ride, built the muscle-machine, which is Evans' only car.
"Oh, it's my ride," she said. "My daily driver. I get in the driver's seat, and I'm happy."
Not everyone is happy about Evans' ride, though. American Idol singer Kelly Clarkson ditched her $60,000 Mustang after finding out that an adult star (Evans) drove a similar car.
But no such drama beset Evans this time, who let the music video's co-star, Lil Mama, drive her Mustang and all of its supercharged, custom-suspensioned goodness, and besides looking good in the video, the car's appearance has also brought Evans some more offers to lend her car to various movie productions. Evans plans to let her pink Mustang do some more acting -- but she wants her car, named Mary for Evans' mother, to pace herself.
"It's the same thing as a porno chick," Evans said. "You don't want to put her out there too much and have her get burned out and over-exposed."
